KOTOBUKI WAVE IMPACTOR
Ultrasound Sludge Disintegration Reactor
|
 |
The wastewater treatment plants of municipal governments, rural communities
and industries are generating more and more sludge to be disposed of year
by year and facing a serious environmental problem. Addressing to this
problem, the engineers have been developing technologies for reducing sludge
as well as for an efficient energy recovery from the wastewater through
the biogas process. Microbial cell wall destruction, i.e. sludge disintegration,
is a key component of these technologies. Various methods such as mechanical
disintegration, chemical hydrolysis, ozonation, biological decomposition
and ultrasonic disintegration have been studied and developed. KOTOBUKI's
Ultrasound Sludge Disintegration Reactor "KOTOBUKI WAVE IMPACTOR"
is developed under the license of ULTRAWAVES GmbH in Hamburg. ULTRAWAVES
GmbH has developed the most advanced ultrasound sludge disintegration technology
based upon the long-term research at Technical University Hamburg-Harburg
in Germany.
